Getting To Know Tracy

Tracy grew up on a ranch in Elk Park, approximately 15 miles North of Butte. During her childhood years, she could be found roaming the mountains with her dogs, sometimes on foot, sometimes riding horseback. Her love for adventure exposed her to many different hobbies and interests. She dabbled in numerous athletic sports, dog sledding, coon hunting (until she learned there were no raccoons in her area), 4-H, training horses, and writing. She had an eye for business from an early age and was described as a natural born entrepreneur and salesperson. At 8 years old, she opened her own security company on her family ranch and worked as a private investigator and security guard for a few years. Zero money was made and supply and demand forced her out of business, so she shifted her focus and entered into the world of sales. Tracy created a sales catalog full of homemade items and products that she marketed to friends and family. She could be found alongside a dirt road selling homemade necklaces, beadwork, painted rocks, crocheted dish rags, dog treats, etc.

Eventually life happened and Tracy was forced to enter the real working world. She earned her B.A. in Psychology, while simultaneously working with the Department of Corrections, promoting up the career ladder every couple of years. She worked as Correctional Officer, case manager, Organizational Development Specialist, and finally a gang investigator. She served as the lead training officer for the Corrections and Detention Officer Basic program at the Montana Law Enforcement Academy. During her career in Corrections, she spoke at 3 national conferences, authored numerous magazine articles, and served on an advisory board for the national level correctional organization, Desert Waters. She shifted away from Corrections in 2013 when she accepted the Training Administrator position for the Legislative Audit Division in Helena, MT. After two years, she ran out of auditor jokes, so she accepted a Human Resources Administrator position with Town Pump, Inc. in Butte, MT. She was responsible for investigating complaints of harassment and discrimination, administering the Family Medical Leave Act program, and overseeing ADA accommodations for disabled workers for all of Town Pump’s hotels, convenient stores, and casinos.

Tracy’s desire for adventure and freedom led her to her decision to enter the world of real estate. Her unique, people-oriented professional background has equipped her with skills necessary to successfully guide her clients along the home buying, or selling experience. Her ability to work with contracts, use various research methods, and negotiate with people on behalf of others makes her an excellent real estate professional. While being professional and providing outstanding customer service to her clients, she is still down to earth, laid back, and human. Working with Tracy is a breeze, and she views her clients as friends, not customers.

When Tracy is not selling real estate, she can still be found wandering the mountains with her dogs, sometimes on foot, sometimes on mountain bike, or snowshoe. She still dabbles in various hobbies which include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, backpacking, mountain biking, writing, snowshoeing, and anything fitness. It is rare to see Tracy without her beloved Beagle, Scout.

Tracy makes her home in Butte, Montana with her significant other, Cory. Together, they are raising three daughters and three dogs. Hannah is in high school pretending to be an adult, Abbie is a discovering life in middle school, while Grace is wandering the playgrounds of elementary school. Their three dogs, Scout, Dempsey, and Selena enjoy long walks in the mountains, and short naps wherever they fall.
